HALIFAX, NOVA SCOTIA – Twist by Trampoline, a subsidiary of Trampoline Branding, has purchased Halifax marketing and website development company, Bits Creative Agency. The new agency, co-branded Twist & Bits is now one of the region’s largest direct-to-execution marketing partners. With strong roots in both digital and traditional marketing, Twist & Bits offers a full suite of services including: website development, e-commerce optimization, SEM, content marketing, branding, graphic design, collateral and communications.
Twist & Bits integrated all staff into Bits’ existing location in Bayers Road Village on November 26. Ian Bezanson, owner of Bits, is a partner with Mark and Leslie Gascoigne of Trampoline, in Twist & Bits. Bezanson will be on the senior management team and the Director of Technology; Mark Gascoigne will be Managing Partner; and Paul Bailey, the current Director of Client Service at Twist, will continue in that role. Along with Bezanson, the digital group will continue to be led by lead developer Simon Lawrence. Rounding out the senior management team will be Jody Burry and Tracy Maunder, the respective creative directors from Twist and Bits.
Twist was launched in September 2017 by Trampoline to better serve the SME (small and medium size) market. Over the past 15 years, since Trampoline was formed in 2004, the agency has developed into one of the region’s largest full-service advertising agencies, serving premier clients including Workers’ Compensation Board of Nova Scotia, Nova Scotia Liquor Corporation, and Tourism Nova Scotia.
Bits was formed in Bezanson’s basement in 2008 to be a true website development shop committed to helping clients and solutions to grow their online presence and ultimately improve their businesses. Since then, Bits became one the region’s most reputable website partners. Whether working directly for Bits’ clients or as the technical partner for most of the agencies in the region, Bits has been a go-to ally.
