Elevvate was a local start-up who came to bits with a vision of creating a new type of social network where athletes, coaches, sports professionals, and fans could connect. The founders saw the potential for Elevvate to be an online platform for fundraising and sponsorship, performance video analysis, and to engage the athletic community around the world.
They needed help defining their brand, and the expertise to build a platform to house this new social network. We’re always game to work with start-ups, so getting involved with Elevvate from the beginning was an exciting win for the bits team.
From concept to branding and beta testing in
Since we were testing a new concept, Drupal content management system (CMS) was chosen as the ideal framework in which to build Elevvate, allowing for rapid and agile development that was still affordable. The bits team then developed a branding strategy that spoke to an athletic audience, including product name, logo, and brand guidelines.
Based on this strategy we designed the website, built custom modules, added integration with the Up My Game video analysis app (another local start-up), wrote the website copy, and implemented a survey for user feedback during the beta testing phase.
Delivering on a tight timeline and within budget, our team carefully defined a brand and quickly produced a minimum viable product. By prioritizing features and functionality, our process allowed the team at Elevvate to begin beta testing and further explore market potential while maximizing their initial investment.
